Women’s Health Urinary Incontinence Treatment Options
Nineteen million adults experience some form of incontinence. Incontinence is a lack of urinary control or a frequent need to urinate. Symptoms can be treated, but less than 50 percent of people with this problem consult a health care provider. Treatment may be as simple as learning to do exercises with proper technique, and education about normal bladder function. Treatment benefits may include stronger muscles, less urinary leakage, and fewer trips to the bathroom.
