Occupational Therapy assists patients with re-learning or learning new skills to regain independence with daily tasks, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and home management. Treatment may include addressing cognitive, neurological, or strength deficits; education on the use of adaptive equipment; and recommendations for home safety.
Several of our Occupational Therapists have earned the advanced credential of certified hand therapist.

The Occupational Therapy staff specializes in rehab of injuries to the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder including:

The Treatment Programs We Provide May Include
Working closely with the referring physician, each patient is provided with a comprehensive, individualized therapy program which may include:
- Neuro rehabilitation including saeboflex exercise orthosis appropriate
- Upper extremity evaluation and treatment
- Range of motion, strength, and endurance training
- Pain management
- Sensory re-education/desensitization
- Scar/edema management
- Injury prevention education
- Custom designed and fabricated splints
- Patient/caregiver education
- Modalities – for example, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, paraffin, iontophoresis
Our therapists work closely with the referring physician to accomplish each patient's individualized goals and/or restore/maintain each patient’s functional mobility based on the referring diagnosis.
