Our youngest patients in the NICU also receive rehabilitation. Together with the medical team, physical and occupational therapists and speech language pathologists provide their services in conjunction with parents, and offer extensive education and treatment regarding positioning, developmental activities, plagiocephaly prevention, feeding strategies, and parent/infant interaction.
Conditions We Treat in the NICU
- alterations in their development or behavior due to prematurity
- neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy or seizures
- Down Syndrome or other chromosomal/genetic disorders
- failure to thrive or growth concerns
- recovery from prenatal drug exposure
