About the Pediatrics Department

When children are sick or hurt, it's comforting for parents to know that South Shore Hospital has teamed with Children's Hospital Boston, to offer expert care in collaboration with our community pediatricians.

Our 15-bed inpatient pediatric unit features a nursing team expert in caring for children and around-the-clock, on-site pediatrician coverage by board-certified physicians affiliated with both South Shore Hospital and Children's Hospital.

Our pediatric emergency service is the only one of its kind in the region, staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency physicians affiliated with both South Shore Hospital and Children's Hospital.

And our outpatient clinics offer convenient access to board-certified Children's Hospital pediatric specialists for patients from throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
