The maternity center at South Shore Hospital offers extensive educational programs and support services for breastfeeding mothers:

• Prenatal breastfeeding classes
• In-house visits by lactation consultants
• A “warm line” — phone support for breastfeeding mothers.
• Follow-up care in our Lactation Clinic with a medical referral
