South Shore Friends' Officers

 

  Meet the Board of Directors of The Friends of South Shore Hospital.  The Friends executive committee members: (seated l-r): immediate past co-president Ellen Scott Garvey, West Chatham; executive committee designee Kate Costello, RPM; and treasurer Tracey Kelley, South Shore Savings Bank. The Friends of South Shore Hospital is a dedicated and diverse volunteer organization. Members from all walks of life bring their unique perspectives and experiences together to advance the good health of the region through fundraising efforts and community outreach programs.

Who Are We?

Members of The Friends of South Shore Hospital encourage people like you to support the hospital through volunteerism, to raise funds for needed programs, and to build goodwill
for the hospital within our community.

The Friends is a diverse group: Women and men, single and married, at home, in school, working and retired, from towns throughout the hospital's service area. The Friends includes groups of individuals with special affinities to South Shore Hospital, as well as to specific hospital services and initiatives.

What Are the Affinity Groups?

The Friends consists of individuals with special affinities to South Shore Hospital. Involvement may be based upon a personal encounter or connection with the hospital, or simply a desire to involve oneself in the community.

We encourage people like you to support the hospital through these special interests and initiatives. Other groups are always being formed. Please call 781-340-4170 if you have ideas or suggestions.

Friends of Cardiovascular Care

Sponsors peer support meetings, community outreach initiatives and provides financial support for cardiovascular programs.

Friends of Emergency Care

Serves as a consumer advisory resource to the emergency department leadership about non-medical care aspects of the patient experience.

Friends of HOPE

Supporting cancer care programs at South Shore Hospital.
