Volunteer Concierge Team

South Shore Hospital is accepting applications for Volunteer Concierge Team positions for the new Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital. The cancer center is scheduled to welcome its first patients in October.

Members of the Volunteer Concierge Team will greet, direct and escort patients, some of whom will use wheelchairs. Concierge Team volunteers will answer and direct phone calls; deliver supplies; assist in the resource room; and deliver mail and refreshments.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, and will be required to work from either 8 a.m.-1 p.m. or from noon-5 p.m. Shifts are not negotiable. Previous health care experience or service-related experience is preferred. Knowledge of computers is essential.
